Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy - Buletin Pengabdian

Buletin Pengabdian is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to maintaining high standards of scholarly publishing while ensuring broad accessibility.

An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.
There are no submission fees, review fees, or article access charges.

*The foreign author rate applies if at least one author is affiliated with an institution outside Indonesia.

APC Waiver and Discount Policy (Equity-Oriented)

Full APC waivers (100%) are granted to authors affiliated with institutions in Low-Income Countries (LICs) based on the latest World Bank classification.

Waiver requests must be submitted during the submission process or after acceptance and will be evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief.
Waiver decisions are confidential and do not influence editorial decisions or peer-review outcomes.

Use of APC Funds

APC revenue is used exclusively to support:

  • Editorial management and peer-review coordination

  • Copyediting, layout, and metadata preparation

  • DOI registration, archiving, and digital preservation

  • Online publication,  indexing, and system maintenance,

  • Dissemination and promotion of published articles,

Buletin Pengabdian operates under a not-for-profit academic publishing model. All APC revenue is reinvested to sustain journal operations and quality improvement.

Transparency and Ethical Assurance

  • APC payments do not affect editorial decisions.

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

  • Reviewers serve voluntarily according to international academic standards.

  • Financial matters are strictly separated from editorial processes.

Open Access License

All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with proper attribution.

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover publication costs.

All APC payments must be made exclusively through the official Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) bank account as stated on the official invoice issued by the journal.
