About URPC
The USK Research & Publication Center (URPC) is the official hub for open-access scholarly journals managed by faculties, departments, and research centers under Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Hosted on OJS 3.3, URPC provides a robust infrastructure for publishing, indexing, and disseminating high-quality research globally.
Historical Development
- 2013: Digital journal publishing was initiated by USK Library through the first Open Journal Systems (OJS) implementation.
- 2016: Management transferred to the USK Research Institute to strengthen academic oversight.
- 2017: The Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) established the Scientific Journal Development Center (PPJI), tasked with:
- Capacity-building programs for journal editors
- Quality assurance and indexing support
- Adoption of international publishing standards
- 2025: Upgraded to URPC with advanced OJS 3.3
- USK publishes all journals and they are free to access. Here is the list of journals based on the indexing status: Scopus, DOAJ, and SINTA

Jurnal Agripet
Jurnal Agripet is an open-access peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Syiah Kuala. The journal publishes original research articles in animal science and biotechnology, including animal nutrition, feed processing, animal production, genetics, breeding and reproduction, animal health and welfare, and livestock farming systems.
Jurnal Agripet is published twice a year (April and October), indexed in major scientific databases, and accredited SINTA 2.

Depik Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Perairan, Pesisir dan Perikanan
Depik is a peer-reviewed open-access journal published by Universitas Syiah Kuala, Indonesia. The journal is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (SINTA 2).
Depik publishes original research articles in the fields of aquatic and fisheries sciences, including fisheries (aquaculture, capture fisheries, and fish processing), aquatic ecology (freshwater, marine, and brackishwater), aquatic biology, and oceanography.
The journal is jointly published by the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Universitas Syiah Kuala, in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Oceanologists (Aceh Chapter), Graduate School of Universitas Syiah Kuala, and the Center for Marine and Fisheries Studies of Universitas Syiah Kuala.
Depik is published three issues per year and applies a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality and originality of published manuscripts.

Hewan) or Indonesian Journal of Veterinary Sciences is a scientific journal field of veterinary sciences published since 2007, published FOUR times a year in March, June, September, and December by Universitas Syiah Kuala (Syiah Kuala University) and Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PDHI) .
Jurnal Kedokteran Hewan is a double-blind review process journal that has been accredited National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) managed by the Ministry of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, with second grade (Sinta 2), Number: 200 / M / KPTS / 2020.

Resonansi: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat
Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat merupakan salah satu pilar Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang wajib dilaksanakan selain pendidikan dan penelitian, sebagaimana diamanatkan dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dimaknai sebagai upaya sivitas akademika dalam mengamalkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan serta mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa.
Resonansi: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Departemen Teknik Sipil Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh - Indonesia berperan sebagai media untuk menjembatani hasil-hasil pengabdian agar dapat diterapkan secara nyata dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.
